Hi, I'm Rebecca Stevens and welcome to my blog page! This is my very first post where you will be able to learn more about who I am as a person. I will be answering 35 questions strictly regarding myself, provided by Vanity Fair's famous Proust Questionnaire. This will hopefully give you all a better understanding of my own "true nature".
1. What is your idea of perfect happiness? My idea of perfect happiness is being mentally and physically healthy, succeeding in whichever endeavors I jump into, and enjoying life unapologetically. 2.What is your greatest fear? My greatest fear is death because not knowing what happens after bothers me and freaks me out. Just think about how after you're gone life will still continue and you won't be there to experience it, unless you believe in reincarnation. 3.What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? I hate that I procrastinate, overthink, and can be sensitive at times. 4.What is the trait you most deplore in others? I hate when people are arrogant or just flat out rude. 5.Which living person do you most admire? My older sister I admire the most because she's overcame many obstacles that tried to block her from thriving throughout her life and never once complained or gave up. She attended Delaware County Community College and now is at the University of Pennsylvania. 6.What is your greatest extravagance? My car. 7.What is your current state of mind? Hopeful and focused. 8.What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Chastity which is refraining from sexual relations before marriage. I don't think our experiences should have a timeline, and society should mind their business and not make people feel disgusting or immoral. 9.On what occasion do you lie? I tell white lies here and there. White lies are harmless or trivial especially one told to avoid hurting someone's feelings, and sometimes I feel like it's necessary. 10.What do you most dislike about your appearance? I don't like being tall. 11.Which living person do you most despise? I would say Trump, just because of the simple fact he's caused many problems and I believe he will create more somehow. We need a responsible, professional, and intelligent leader. 12.What is the quality you most like in a man? I want a man that has a sense of humor. 13.What is the quality you most like in a woman? Confidence. 14.Which words or phrases do you most overuse? "What do you want?" 15.What or who is the greatest love of your life? My nieces and nephew, and of course my dogs. 16.When and where were you happiest? Childhood, probably around Kindergarten into my early elementary years. 17.Which talent would you most like to have? I wish I was a great talker, and I always knew what to say. 18.If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I would change my personality and become more outgoing. 19.What do you consider your greatest achievement? Overcoming rough patches in my life, and also graduating high school. 20.If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? I would definitely come back as a person, but I'm unsure on who it would be. I know I really wanna go back in time and experience the 60's and other time periods in the 20th century. 21.Where would you most like to live? I would love to live somewhere warm and sunny. The cold weather gets me in a funk and when it gets chilly it makes me more inclined to stay inside and not be productive. 22.What is your most treasured possession? Pictures. I love having pictures to look back on and keeping a record of my memories. 23.What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? The loss of loved ones. 24.What is your favorite occupation? I would enjoy occupations that involve the elderly or animals. 25.What is your most marked characteristic? For those who know me, I think they would say my weirdness and humor are my most marked characteristics. 26.What do you most value in your friends? I want my friends to be supportive, loyal, and dependable. 27.Who are your favorite writers? Francis Ford Coppola, David Chase, and Martin Scorsese. 28.Who is your hero of fiction? Amy Dunne. 29.Which historical figure do you most identify with? Jane Goodall because of her love for animals. She's intelligent and I like who she is as a person and what she represents. 30.Who are your heroes in real life? My grandmother. I spent a good portion of my childhood around her, and she molded me into who I am today. 31.What are your favorite names? Aja because recently I found out that was going to be my name. Aja was a song and album by Steely Dan in the 70's. 32.What is it that you most dislike? I dislike today's world. Yes, we have many advances but our human race (dare I say) is getting worse. I feel like we have lowered our standards musically, morally, etc. 33.What is your greatest regret? I regret that I was in a rush to grow up because I thought it would fix my problems, when in actuality my problems were yet to come. When you're younger you view minor issues as end of the world scenarios. 34.How would you like to die? I would like to die painlessly around my family, or in my sleep. 35.What is your motto? "Feel the fear and do it anyway"
